|
NOTES: |
The annual
reunion of the descendants of Bailey Smith and
Rachel Katherine Bounds, is held the second
weekend of August at Roosevelt State Park in
Forest, Scott County, MS. Many families stay the
weekend, in a cabin, RV, or tent. Friday
night kicks off with gospel singing and a potluck
dinner, the likes of which only our family could
pull off! Saturday includes activities, sports, and our
annual Mess Pageant (I never realized
what a purty lil' gal my brother-in-law makes!).
Sunday brings an inspiring worship service,
followed by... still more food! My favorite
activity is to walk from cabin to cabin, visiting,
sharing stories and laughter, and getting reaquainted!
That's me, with notebook and tape recorder in hand. :-)
